DS90UB948-Q1: DS90UB948-Q1 with DS90UB941AS-Q1 and DS90UB947-Q1 configuration issues

Part Number: DS90UB948-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90UB941AS-Q1, DS90UB947-Q1

Hi,

I have some question in using DS90UB948Q1 collocation DS90UB941AS and DS90UB947Q1.

1. DS90UB941AS-Q1 has one DS90UB948-Q1 for each link. The two DS90UB948-Q1-driven LCD screens have independent data (different display contents). Can each DS90UB948-Q1 achieve 1920*720P60?

2. Similarly, each link of DS90UB947-Q1 is connected with a DS90UB948-Q1. The data of the two DS90UB948-Q1-driven LCD screens are independent (with different display contents). Can each DS90UB948-Q1 achieve 1920*720P60?

thanks.

  • Hello Wu,

    1. This should be possible. Please confirm that the PCLK requirement for each display is < 96MHz. (For 1920x720p60, the PCLK may be close to this limit depending on the specific panel blanking)

    2. This solution can not work because 947 only supports up to 170MHz (85MHz per channel) in dual FPD Link mode (which would be required for this application).

    Best Regards,

    Casey
