Hi,

I'm using DS90UB940-Q1 for automotive camera product. The Serializer is DS90UB925Q-Q1. Sometimes the DS90UB940-Q1 will receive error data. My questions is: In what situation, will the DS90UB940-Q1 receive error data? Hope I can get your response.

Hello Kevin,

Most likely you can receive errors if the high speed FPD Link channel does not meet the margin requirements. You can utilize the MAP (Margin Analysis Program) described here to evaluate performance of the channel: http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/snlu243/snlu243.pdf

Hi Kevin,

In order to improve the eye diagram, you'll need to improve the signal integrity, so anything that could be effecting the signal path. Try reducing the cable length and see if you get better results with a shorter length. Do some s-parameters on the high speed traces and see if there's some issues with the layout that can be improved.
