can i use DS90UB964 Deserializer(MIPI-CSI2) with DS90UB933 Serializer(PARALLEL OUtPUT).

Yes, these devices are designed to work together. Please see the first page of the 964 datasheet.

Hi ,

DO we need any configuration for this Because DS90UB933 take parallel data and DS90UB964 convert data to MIPI-CSI2 format.

No special configuration needed. Please read section 8.4 of the datasheet which describes how the conversion works.

Hello,

We have Ap0101-ar140 camera sensor + DS90UB913 serializer and DS90UB964 Deserializer. When we are setting deserializer in 12 bit mode we are getting data , but data is not accurate.

We have following questions:

1) If we configure Serdes in 12 bit mode and configure CSI Data Type as YUV 8bits(In 0x70 and 0x71 Registers) or RAW-8, then how will 12 to 8 bit conversion happen (MSB or LSB) before CSI-2 packets are formed?

2) In case of 10bits configuration, CSI-2 receiver (In SOC) is not receiving frames and it is not even giving any error. SO we are assuming that deserializer is not sending any CSI-2 packets.

Firstly, can you tell me is the image sensor output is RAW8 or RAW10 or RAW12?

There is no conversion from 12 bit to 8 bit within the device. If 8 bit is desired, then you will need to be in 10 bit mode. But please share the details of your configuration on the sensor side and I can take a deeper look.
