Hello John,
Would you be able to elaborate on what you mean by DCI equipment? I do not believe that I have heard of this term before.
Hi Adam,
DCI(Direct connect interface) is intel debug method, they need connect some debug device to typeC port, do you how the debug device works?
Customer worried it need be recognized by PD controller, but not sure if it works or not.
Thanks.
Hi Adam,
Could you please help reply to me for above questions?
Any other customer use DCI debug device in previous project, and how to set the PD controller?
Thanks.
Hi Adam,
Could you please give me some feedback for the above questions?
Thanks.
Hi John,
The DCI interface will go through the USB Type-C SS mux. The PD controller can recognize when a debug accessory is connected and a GPIO can be driven from the PD controller to the system that can notify the system that a debug accessory is connected.
The one DCI port in the system will have to be configured to do the detection which can be set in the 0x28 Port Configuration Register. In the GPIO configuration you will have to map a GPIO to go high when a debug accessory is connected.
