SN65LBC172A: RS485 driver inputs from xilinx Kintex FPGA

Hi,

We are designing a PCB with xilinx kintex 7 FPGA .our application requires RS485 diffrential line drivers. we are planning to use   SN65LBC172A, Quadruple RS-485 Diffrential line driver.

We need clarification regarding SN65LBC172A inputs(1A,2A,3A,4A) and G and G- , our FPGA is powerd with 3.3V bank so that inputs to this IC is LVCMOS 33.

whether this LVCMOS 33 inputs  are  compatible for  this IC?

    Hello Harikrishnan,

    You can double check the output specs of the IO bank to make sure it meets the LBC172A requirements.  The A and G inputs of this device require a high input level to exceed 2 V and a low input level not to exceed 0.8 V.  (These are often referred to as TTL input thresholds, so you might check for that term when examining compatibility.)
