    Akaba-san,

    The master node pull-up diode is a requirement from the LIN standard. This diode is mandatory to prevent an uncontrolled power-supply of the ECU from the bus in case of a ’loss of battery’. The diode on the VSUP line right after VBAT is a reverse-battery protection diode. This is common in automotive ECUs, are connecting the battery in the incorrect, reverse orientation is common in vehicles (user error).
