           At max Eq setting , 954 AEQ can have 22dB of AC gain at Nyquist (2.1GHz) while at minimum Eq setting there is still about 0.7dB of AC gain at Nyquist

Does the EQ setting between the maximum and minimum settings change linearly?

Since the EQ level is 16steps, it is 1.42dB per step.

       No. The Eq steps are not linear. Approximately, first 2 steps cover 8dB. The next 2 steps cover 4dB. Remaining 10dB is covered by remaining 12 steps approximately linearly.,, (close to 22dB range the last 4 steps are clustered together) but it is a good approximation to assume that the last 10dB is covered by 12 steps linearly

Should I think that the rough settings are as follows?

 step 0  : 0.7 dB

 step 1  : 8 dB

 step 2 : 10 dB

 step 3 : 12 dB

 step 4 to step 15 : Linearly increased to 22dB

Does the gain characteristic change at 2Gbps?

We assume two communication rates of 4Gbps and 2Gbps.

Is the DC gain 0dB in any setting?

            At 1.0GHz(2Gbps), a setting of 0 is about 0.2dB gain , for all other setting gain is about 3dB lower than that of gain at 4.2Gbps(2.1GHz)

 step 0  : 0.7 dB

 step 1  : 8 dB

 step 2 : 10 dB

I have an additional question.

Is the DC gain 0 dB for all settings in the equalizer frequency response?

I think that this is a characteristic that increases the gain only for the FPD-LINK communication band. Is this correct?
