Hi, Team,

> The heatbeat is part of the 10BASE-T/Te standard.

> You do not control this function as it is built into every 10BASE-T/Te PHY.

During 10Base-T/Te operation, User do not need any setting for heartbeat. Right??

Also, during 10Base-T/Te operation / Full duplex mode, Heartbeat function is enable.

How about half duplex mode?

We want to know whether heartbeat function is operated during 10Base-T/Te operation / Half duplex mode.

Hi,

When heartbeat is enabled (only applicable to 10 Mb/s duplex operation), approximately 1µs after the transmission of each packet, a Signal Quality Error (SQE) signal of approximately 10 bit times is generated (internally) to indicate successful transmission. SQE is reported as a pulse on the COL signal of the MII.
