TCA9617B: TCA9617BDGKR

Part Number: TCA9617B

Hi Team,

We are going to use TCA9617BDGKR in our design. So, I request you to  provide the nominal current consumption details of VCC5V & VCCA. It is not available in the datasheet

As of now we have calculated using the pull-up resistors, since it is acting as a level shifter.

Thanks & regards,

E.Rohini

  • Hi Team,

It would be better if we are able to get the maximum current consumption details of TCA9617BDGKR

    Thanks & regards,

    E.Rohini

  • Hey E.Rohini,

Are you asking for the Icc when the device is at VccA=VccB=5V?

Your first requests states"So, I request you to  provide the nominal current consumption details of VCC5V & VCCA" which I do not understand. VccB is not mentioned and VccA is not mentioned.

The worst case values are presented in the datasheet as 13uA and 8.1mA. the Icc is the additional of both of these numbers.

  • Hi,

    VCCA=3.3 V and VCCB=3.3V

Icc given in datasheet is no load current. For design it would be better to know the maximum current consumption(Full Load)

    Regards,

    Rohini

  • Hey Rohini,

The ICCB in the datasheet is the 'load case' for the test condition "Both channels low, SDAA=SCLA=GND; IOLB=100uA". At 5.5V (worst case as Vcc gets higher Icc gets larger). This device drives lows (not highs) so the load case for this device is when it is driving low from one side while receiving a low from the other side. In the test condition A side is driven low and B side outputs a low with a current source of 100uA.
