DS80PCI402: Part number suffix

Part Number: DS80PCI402

Hi team,

My customer is going to use DS80PCI402.

They have a question about the suffix of the part number for registering the device to their internal system.

DS80PCI402 has a little different suffix style from other typical devices.

The orderable part number of typical devices is lined up in order of GPN, Package type and tape and reel information.

This device's suffix of package type is "SQ". Is that correct?

Regards,

Saito

  • Hi,

This is true for several older DS80 and DS100 devices.  For the DS80PCI402 it still uses the standard 54 pin WQFN package (NJY), but the order number suffix is SQ or SQE for the different tape and reel sizes.

Newer devices in this package do have the more common suffix = package code.  For example: DS80PCI810NJYR

  • Hi Lee-san,

    Thank you for your answer.

I know SQ device is packed in big reel and SQE devices in small reel.

But, please clartify which part of the part number represents the IC package type or the packing form.

Doesn't this device have the suffix that represent the IC package type?

If so, does SQ and SQE represent just the packing form?

    Regards,

    Saito

  • Hi Saito-san,

The SQ represents the old NSC suffix.  This part was already introduced and in mass production at the time of acquistion.

The package code for Texas Instruments is NJY - still the same package as other devices with the NJY suffix.

The E at the end of the GPN does indicate a small reel of parts.
