DP83867ERGZ-S-EVM: How to connect two of these dev boards together at SGMII ends.

Hello,

I simply want to connect two computers as shown below and be able to 'ping' between them:

Computer 1 (RJ45) <---> (RJ-45) DP83867 Dev Board (SGMII-SMA) <----> (SGMII-SMA) DP83867 Dev Board (RJ-45)  <---> (RJ-45) Computer 2

I have done this with RF cables between then SMA connectors and have not been able to send a ping. 

Please advise.

    Hi GM,

    Are you connecting the SGMII transmit of one board to SGMII receive of the other board? The polarity needs to be maintained as well: Transmit positive of one board to receive positive of other board. The positive-negative cables should also be length matched.

    If you have taken all of this into account, can you check at the output of the SGMII transmit SMA connectors on the EVM to see if the SGMII signals are being generated.
