DS90C189-Q1: DS90C189-Q1 support 3.3v RGB input

Dear TI:

D/S Shows the C189-Q1 support 1.8V LVCMOS input. But my custom's screen output signal is 3.3v level.
Can C189-Q1 support the input voltage, or any solution's to solve the problem.
PS； custom no willing to use voltage level shift IC,for cost and size reason.

Hi, please check the d/s, the I/O level should be within I/O power supply voltage, otherwise it would damage the chip.

If the customer requires 3.3V on the input they should use the DS90C387 instead. The DS90C189-Q1 is only 1.8V tolerant.

Dear Anyiam:

custom have already evaluate DS90C387, But it's dual RGB to dual LVDS IC, my custom only need a single RGB to dual LVDS.
So, we choose ds90c189. but unfortunately the RGB input level only 1.8V .
Can RGB input level deliver to 1.8V by two resistors. Can you give me some advise ? thanks

No, it is not recommended due to SI issue for this parallel I/f.

Additionally, the DS90C387 can still be configured for single-to-dual pixel conversion. This is really the only choice your customer has other than using voltage level shifters with the DS90C189-Q1.
