TUSB8041: one question about the USB_VBUS pin of TUSB8041

Part Number: TUSB8041

Hi team,

According to the spec requirement, USB_VBUS signal needs to be connected by the electrical partial voltage of uplink port. In cusotmer's previous case, it was made by DC P5V partial voltage, but now there is no P5V solution on our motherboard.

Cusotmer wants to know if he can use P12V partial voltage to connect it? Dose it have power sequence requirment for VDD, VDD33 and USB_VBUS.

Thanks.

  • Hi Oliver,

Yes, a 12V supply can be used to drive the USB_VBUS signal as long as the resistor divider network values are adjusted so the ON voltage at the USB_VBUS pin remains the same (around 500 mV).

    Regards,
