Hello Team,

My cutomer are looking to use DP83869HM in their new project.

They need to have 1000BASE-X, 1000BASE-T, 100BASE-FX, 100BASE-TX PHY in the output of their device(Industrial PLC).
From CPU side they need MII/RMII. As described in datasheet, DP83869 support needed mode separately (with RGMII/SGMII). But they interested in combinations of MII-1000BASE-X, MII-1000BASE-T, MII-100BASE-FX, MII-100BASE-TX. Is it possible to implement this mode with DP83869?

If not - Does TI have or plan to have another solution for this case?

    Hi Ilya,

    MII is not possible for 1000BASE-X/T speeds. MII only supports 10Mbps and 100Mbps.

    No PHY is capable of supporting MII for 1000BASE-X/T, it is not physically possible.

    We do support MII-100BASE-TX, MII-100BASE-FX, MII-10BASE-Te, RGMII-1000BASE-T, RGMII-1000BASE-X, RGMII-100BASE-FX, RGMII-100BASE-TX, RGMII-10BASE-Te.
