ONET8501P

Data Sheet clarification: We would like to use the ONET8501P as a preamp in a test eqpt app. It would be helpful to get additional/supplemental information on the device's noise performance (equiv input voltage/current noise density) if avail.

Specification questions: The spec says random jitter for Vin 20mV pp is 1psrms, what is the input freq for this test? In Fig 12, RJ vs Vin, what is the sine wave freq for this typ op graph?

Thank you, Eric

  • Eric,

I'm sorry but we do not have any more data than what is provided in the data sheet. The noise performance of a limiting amp designed for fiber optic communications is typically defined by the input sensitivity.

The rms jitter was measured at 11.3Gbps with the k28.5 pattern. The same with Figure 12.

    Regards,

    Alex.
