Hello Kuramochi-san,
Yes, these devices have compatible pinouts although they are not exactly functionally identical. For example, pin 5 on TCAN1042 is a no-connect and so will not provide a VCC/2 reference. (This is generally not needed, though, given the device's improvements in EMC performance.) For pin 8, the functionality is equivalent when this is pulled low, but when pulled high there are slight differences in the low power mode. In HVD251 the receiver remains fully active, while in TCAN1042 the receiver will only pass through CAN bus traffic after it receives a valid wake-up pattern (as defined in ISO 11898-2:2016) and only assert RXD low after an activity filter duration has been met. The TCAN1042 also does not feature adjustable slope control via connection of a resistance to this pin.
Please let me know if this is ins't clear or if you have any further questions.
Regards,
Max
