DS250DF810: some quesitons about the EQ setting in DS250DF810

Part Number: DS250DF810

Hi Team,

Customer has some quesitons about the EQ setting during optimizing the performance of DS250DF810.

1.How to disable TX EQ function?

2.How to disable RX EQ function and check RX EQ value?

3.Could you have any suggestion to this special value in RX EQ aimed at 1m and 3m DAC cable

Could you give some comments?

Thanks a lot.

  • Hi Oliver,

    1. The Tx FIR EQ may be disabled by setting 0x3D[7]=0
    2. The Rx EQ cannot be disabled. The user may instead force a CTLE boost setting of 0x00, the lowest boost value
    3. Refer to the programming guide "Common Device Configurations" front port ingress case Section 4.3. This example applies to your application case

Table. Set CTLE Boost to 0

Set CTLE boost to 0x00. Different input channel loss will require different CTLE settings.
