Hi，

I would like to transmit raw ADC LVDS data through cable for about 5 meters,ADC output data is 4 channel LVDS with one FRAME,output clock is 200MHz DDR:

I need to convert parallel LVDS data to serial to easy connecting，is LMH0340/LMH0341 a proper choice ?

I am also looking into DS32EL0421,the 5 parallel input is actually 4 with 'data[4]' used for data_valid indication.

Hi Min,

Please note LMH0340 lock to SDI data rates only. DS32EL0421 and DS32EL0124 are a better choice for this application.

Thanks for your reply.

LMH0340 lock to SDI data rates only,means that those SDI Serializer chips can only be used under like SMPTE standards?Is it because of the limitation of PLL frequency？From the chip architecture, it only converts parallel data into serial data with 8b10b encode,No data format and data rate restriction.

and also,LMH0340 and DS32EL** have almost the same architecture.

Hi Min,

1). LMH0340 VCO has been constrained to the SMPTE data rates only.

2). LMH0340/LMH0341 use the same die as DS32EL0421/0124.
