DS90UB935-Q1: How to DS90UB935/936

Part Number: DS90UB935-Q1

Hi,

I'm designing a camera using isx019 Sony.

Ser is DS90UB935 and Des is DS90UB936.

We are in trouble without mipi output from Des.

mipi output is fixed at 1V.

Please tell me the solution.

input is mipi-csi2 4lane(format : YUV 8 bit)

Frame Rate = 30Hz

Image Size = 1280x 960

Cable is Coax.

DS90UB935 setting

Synchronous mode(Rhigh open/Rlow  10kΩ)

No register setting

DS90UB936 setting

CSI-2 synchronous back channel mode

register 0x33 →0x03

Are there any registers that need to be set?

  • Hi,

    What is the value of registers 0x04, 0x1f, 0x35, 0x4c, 0x4d, 0x4e, 0x58, 0x6d on the ds90UB936?

    Regards,
    Mandeep Singh

  • hi

    Thank you for your reply.

    The register values are as follows.
    Verification please.

    0x04 0xdf

    0x1f 0x02

    0x35 0x00

    0x4c 0x00

    0x4d 0x17

    0x4e 0x2c

    0x58 0x1a

    0x6d 0x78

    Regards

  • Hi,

    The back channel doesn't seem configured correctly, can you set register 0x58 = 0x5E and re-share the registers above. Also, can you do two reads this time; for example, read all these registers and record the values then wait a few seconds (>10s) then read all these registers a second time and record the values. This is because some of the registers are COR (Clear on Read), so this helps understand which registers are consistently showing errors.

  • explanation of the values for reference..

    0x04 -> lock and pass HIGH
    0x1f -> 800Mbps CSI Rate
    0x35 -> No data at CSI TX Port
    0x4c -> Read/write port 0
    0x4d -> Lock status change, Parity error
    0x4e -> stable freq, CSI Error, Encoder error
    0x58 -> 10Mbps (Set this to 0x5E)
    0x6d -> CSI MODE
