Hello,

It was indicated in a separate thread (http://e2e.ti.com/support/interface/f/138/p/827776/3069363#3069363?jktype=e2e) that care must be taken to ensure that the cells can support a higher power level, however, is there anything fundamentally limiting TIDA-01515 from sourcing and sinking 100W? Assuming there are no concerns with the cells, could the TPS65988 simply be reconfigured to allow for 5A source and sink?

    Hi Chris,

    The only limiting factor in TIDA-01515 is the batteries used. The TPS65988 can be reconfigured to support 100W. Keep in mind that a 5A USB-C cable will be needed to support 5A on TPS65988. This is in alignment with the USB-PD specification.
