In the "Technical Documents" section, you can find a Software User's Guide.  This gives an overview of how to configure the device to properly partition the memory space and to send and receive CAN or CAN FD frames.  Here is a direct link:

Additionally, in the "Design & development tools" section you can find a reference code package written in ANSI C.  This can be a useful starting point for software development.  Again, here is a direct link:
