DS90UB953A-Q1: Currently they can only get one 953 information when use two 953

Part Number: DS90UB953A-Q1

Hi team,

My customer is using two DS90ub953 and one DS90ub954 in the system as below. The two DS90UB953 have different address, Currently they can only get one 953 information, port 0 or port 1.  Do you have some experience about the phenomenon? Thanks.

BTW: What's the function of VC? whether they have connection with CS?

Thanks.

  • Hello Frank,

In order to access the data from port 0 or port 1 respectively you must select the corresponding RX port in register 0x4C. For example if you want to read/write to a remote 953 on RX1, you must set 0x4C = 0x12.

Virtual channels are used to identify unique camera data from the two RX ports when they are both outputting data through the same CSI-2 interface. The virtual channel is part of the packet header for each source and allows the processor to differentiate them.

    Best Regards,

    Casey
