DS90UB948-Q1EVM: ALP Information Tab does not update, registers do not have values

Hi Team,

I am hooking up the UB948 EVM to ALP. I have the EVM connected and changed the device to the 948, but under the information tab, the device information is not correct. Also, when I displayed the register information, everything is coming back as 0x00 for values. Can you please direct me with what to do to get the proper device information on the GUI and the registers updated to their proper default values?

    Jared,

    I think issue might be related to PDB switch position. Looking at the  948EVM user guide 

    Please make sure S3.3 is set to high position. Then only device gets powered and respond to ALP.

    Also, please check other switches (S1, S2, S4) as well as jumpers are in correct default setting.

    Hi Vishy,

    I double checked my SW settings and the PDB switch is high, both BIST switches are low. I even toggled the PDB switch a couple times and there is no change. S1, S2, and S4 all only have one setting high, all others are low. I don't have anything else connected to the EVM except my computer.

    The GUI still reports that I am connected to a 926 and none of the registers have data.

    Anything else I can look at?

    Jared,

    I just notice the ALP version you are having is v1.54.0010. Could you please download and install the latest ALP version from the following link

    http://www.ti.com/tool/ALP

    Note first you have to download the latest framework (v1.57.0010) and install it. Then download the ALP-PROFILE-UPDATE *(v06) and install it. The alp profile update installs the latest device profiles to the framework.

    Please quit ALP as well as remove the USB connection and then do the installations. Then restart ALP and try again.

    If ALP update doesn't help, please upload a photo of your board setup. I would like double the check the jumpers and switches. Also, I assume you have 12V supply provided at J18 as shown in the EVM user guide. Please confirm.
