DS90UB935-Q1: Connecting via PCB Traces

Team,

The outputs and/or inputs all describe “FPD-Link III (over coax or STP).” I plan on connecting them via a Printed Circuit board (traces) and not wires. Do you see a problem with that approach?

    Hello Go,

    There should be no issue, but please follow best practices for layout listed in the datasheet to ensure high speed connections are routed with extreme care to avoid return loss issues from impedance discontinuities. 

    With short transmission channels, often times return loss performance becomes even more critical to the SI.
