Is it okay to use TCAN4550 in TEST mode all the time for an application?
In certain applications, I would like to use the TCAN4550 as a stand-alone transceiver (bypassing the controller), and using a separate controller. It looks like enabling TEST mode allows the transceiver control pins to be brought out on GPIO pins. Is this the only effect of using TEST mode? Are there other changes that might make it act differently than a stand-alone CAN-FD transciever?
