Can I remove the capacitor C3 (pin2-vcc)?
Can MAX202IDG4 work properly anyway?
Best regards

If I put this capacitor I've a noise on the 5v(vcc), this is the voltage referance for ADC then the value converted it's wrong. If I remove the capacitor the noise disappare and the comunication it's ok. Of course the 10V on the rs232 it's not wonderful but enought for the comunication.
The capacitor is 100nF ceramic. If you've a suggestion wil be highly appreciated
Best regards

Daniele,
What kind of noise do you observe with the capacitor? What kind of power design in the system? Have you ever checked if the noise correlates with to charging cycle? I was wondering if the transient current change makes the supply unstable.
