SN65HVD888: Return to normal mode from latched polarity-correcting mode

Could you tell me if we can return to normal mode from the latched the polarity-correcting mode after powered up the device? If no, we should shutdown the device to return to the normal mode?

Hi Takeshi-san,

Yes, the SN65HVD888 will polarity correct back to normal mode if the conditions for polarity correction are met. A power cycle is not needed to unlatch the device from polarity-correcting mode.

Hi Eric,

Thank you for your comments. I see. So once the device detects the correct (normal) bus polarity, the device turns from polarity correcting mode to normal mode without any power cycle. I'll share the information with the customer.
