Hello,
Can TCAN1053-Q1 use alternative device for R2A25416SP? It would be helpful to let us know alternative device if TCAN1053-Q1 is any issue for alternative.
Best regards,
Toshihiro Watanabe
Hello Watanabe-san,
The R2A25416SP supports a "standby" mode in which the transmitter and receiver are in a low-power state and a separate wake-up detection circuit monitors the CAN bus. So, the more direct replacement device would be TCAN1042 (which supports the same mode) rather than TCAN1051 (which instead supports a "silent" mode in which the receiver circuit remains fully active). The R2A25416SP datasheet I found was in Japanese so there may be some minor differences I was unable to detect, but from what I can tell these two devices should be very similar in function.
