Dear all,

Our customer would like to ask a question about spec of PLL when usingDS90C387 and DS90C387.

Does the device's internal PLL measure aging characteristics like those found in common clock oscillator?

(We think that the aging characteristics of the internal PLL may change depending on the external clock, but please let us know.)

Hi Ottey,

The internal clock of C387 is based on Ring oscillator, which has NO aging concerns which is shown in crystal-based oscillator.

You are right the PLL is locked to external clock and the internal VCO can provide wide range to capture the external clock input.
