Is it possible to operate the two internal channels in parallel to exceed 5A output?

Yes this is possible using the "Power Duo Mode"

You can refer to TIDA-050012 for more details on this mode.

Hi Eric,

I have a follow up to this. The Power Duo document shows TPS65987DDH in the schematic, but when I open up the GUI for DH (ROM 1.6) I do not see 'Power Duo' as an option in Global System Config. Is Power Duo only a DJ (ROM 1.7) feature? How to configure to DH?

Also, is it only a TPS65987D feature and not TPS65988? Seems to be the case even though the TPS65988 has the "87 emulate mode".
