TPD1E10B06: Review of ESD device connections in My Battery Pack Design

Part Number: TPD1E10B06

Hi,

I have designed a  Lithium Ion  Battery Pack  with BQ24296 Charger, BQ27542 Fuel Gauge , BQ29701 protection IC and TPD1E10B06 ESD devices.

Part of schematic is below.

Appreciate if  the ESD connection section can be reviewed and given feedback.

Regards,

Anil

  • Hello,

What is the maximum allowed voltage on the lines that the TPD1E10B06 is connected to? The VRWM is 5V for this device

Also this device is 10pF which is fine for the slow signals like SDA and SCL but if any of these lines have a high switching frequency you might want to go to a part with lower capacitance

  • Thanks Cameron Phillips for the review  feedback.

Yes, there is one line (charger power) which will go to 5-6 V.  All other lines are less than 4.2V.

Will change this particular one to TPD1E10B09.

Don't have any high speed communication lines.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Anil
