My customer has a question.

Could you tell me the power consumption when used under the following conditions?

*Measured with PRBS10,
*CDR Locked to 270 Mbps, (ASI)
*OUT0±and SDI_OUT± enabled,
*VOD = default,
*HEO/VEO lock monitor disabled

Hi Kudo-San,

Maximum power consumption for DVB/ASI is 200mA in Equalizer mode and 230mA in cable driver mode.

Hi Kudo-San,

Numbers I mentioned are in mA. You can multiply by 2.5V(+5%) to get power consumption in mW. Please note these power consumption numbers are available in the full data sheet.

Power Consumption for ASI is ...

500mW in EQ mode (200mA * 2.5V)

575mW in CD mode (230mA * 2.5V)

My initial expectation was that ASI would consume less power than 2.97Gbps, but it turned out to be not.

Hi Kudo-San,

ASI engages an additional filtering stage so the power would be higher.
