We have problem with the DP83867ERG in our design. 1000base-T only works with one computer and not with other combination of computer/switches. 100base-T can work with other computers.
As a result of the trouble, I have put the PHY in compliant test mode and did some test.
The result was that the “transmitter distortion without tx_clk” always failed. Limit says 10mV, we have almost 40mV. Some of the Template tests also failed (F and H was slightly out of the mask).
When in test mode, the PHY only output the test pattern at output pair A (pin 1 and 2). Shouldn’t the PHY output the pattern at all 4 pairs?
