Hi!
I am wondering if the TCA9803 has rise time accelerators? My customer is in need for an I2C buffer without the accelerators. If there is another device you recommend, please let me know.
Thanks!
Reed

Reed,
TCA9803 does not use rise time accelerators. On the "A" side, rising edges are pulled high only by pull-up resistances on the bus. On the "B" side, rising edges are pulled high by the internal pull-up current source implemented on SDAB and SCLB. The use of a constant current source here gives a well-controlled linear rising characteristic (compared to the RC charging waveform that is typical for I2C buses).
