SN65LV1224B: SN65LV1224B Wiring Connection

To TI,

Ask for IC SN65LV1224B electrical wiring connection method. My new customer is using On-semi camera sensor MT9V124. The ouput is LVDS signal.

On-Semi sensor MT9V124 datasheet recommend to use National Instrument DS92LV1212A deserializer to convert signal, which now will be replaced by TI SN65LV1224B

I can follow application note to wire the right side of DS92LV1212A. However, for left side connection of multiple clock point, I cannot be certain.

Attach is my design of schematic. Please clarify for the connection point which I mark ?

Hi Lai,

Please reference the pin description on page 6 of the datasheet for the DB package. The pinout for the DS92LV1212A and the SN65LV1224B are the same. You should reference this application note to understand what the differences are between the devices and what actions should be taken to migrate: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slla435/slla435.pdf

Thanks for promptly reply. I am now doing the electric wiring for this deserializer, from camera sensor LVDS to parallel output.

Just want to confirm here. REFCLK Input to MCLK, RCLK Output to PCLK. PWDN Input to Standby, REN Input to High as Always ON, LOCK Output to one GPIO,

DVCC Power Input shall be 3.3V. ROut signal level will also be 3.3V.

Kindly confirm.

Hi LS Chua,

I don't see any description of MCLK, RCLK, or Standby in the MT9V124 datasheet. You should compare the pin description from wherever these signals are coming from with the pin descriptions on the LV1224B. The rest is correct.
