SN65HVS885: How to use HN65hvs885 to connector to F280049CPMS with PWM and eQEP function to control Motor?

Part Number: SN65HVS885
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74HC595

I have a  24V motor PWM or PTO signal input.

Hot to Use SN65Hvs885 receiver PWM or PTO signal and pass to F280049CPMS GPIO eQEP-1 ?

Now I will use SN74HC595 to pass signal but I not sure this can be work.

Can I get some suggestion?

  • Hello,

What frequency PWM or PTO are you using?

SN65HVS885 accepts 8 parallel inputs (PWM or PTO) and the output is one SOP.

From my understanding, you would like to input this SOP signal to SN74HC595.

What is the VCC of the system? The input and output voltage levels of SN74HC595 depend on what VCC you are using.

I think 50K~200K Hz ferquence is ok.

Yes, I need 4 parallel input on F280049CPMS.

    VCC is 3.3V.

The SN74HC595 is work on 3.3V??

How to set my RCLK and SRCLK

    SN65HVS885 SOP to SN74HC595 SER.

I will use F280049CPMS generator a 10MHz to CLK and 1.1MHz to LD.

BTW: This function need  what F280049CPMS can be counter and PTO function input and output to stepper Motor control.

  • Hello,

    Thank you for that information.

3.3V VCC is within the recommended operating range for SN74HC595.

Below is the function table and timing diagram for SRCLK and RCLK. Both the shift register clock (SRCLK) and storage register clock (RCLK) are positive-edge triggered.

    Best regards,
