Hi Michael,
The TPS65987D does not touch the super-speed data lines. This would be handled by the super speed mux and redriver in the system. I would suggest checking with the HSSC team if their devices can support the HDCP 2.2 protocol.
Thank you,
Eric
Hi Eric,
So if my customer is converting to DP and running DP over USB-C using the TPS65987D, this is still HDCP 2.2 compliant? I have no info on which mux/redriver they are using, they just want to be sure that there is no reason using this device would violate HDCP 2.2 compliance.
Thanks,
Michael
Hi Michael,
the TPS65987D should have no impact on their HDCP 2.2 compliance. the TPS65987D would just negotiate the DP alternate mode contract and then the super speed mux/redriver would control the Superspeed lines.
Thank you,
Eric
