TUSB320: What is the cause of the error about USB-IF testing using TUSB320 IC

Hi,

Are you using TUSB320 or TUSB320LAI/TUSB320HAI? We recommend using TUSB320LAI/TUSB320HAI for testing with USB compliance testing. Also please keep in mind that TUSB320LAI/TUSB320HAI are meant to be compatible USB Type-C 1.1 spec.

      We use TUSB320HAI  for testing with USB compliance testing, and  have resolved 3 errors : TD 4.5.6, TD4.8.2, TD4.10.1.  But  the error of TD4.5.4  still exists .

        We use TUSB320HAI for  testing with USB compliance testing, the TUSB320HAI 's feature  ony supports "USB Type-C™ Specification 1.1".

But   "USB Type-C Functional Test Specification"  has updated to 7/8/2019,  will our USB compliance testing fail?

Hi,

Your VIF should reflect the Type-C versions you are testing this should limit certain test that are not covered by older versions of the Type-C specification. If the VIF is not updated the you may see failures. (VIF_Specification)
