Part Number: TUSB320EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB320,
Hei,
I am testing the TUSB320EVM in DRP mode. For instance I try to source power to a phone over the USB-C for charging (input power to the EVM comes from the USB micro B with 5V/2A at least) or sink by connecting the phone on the Micro USB B (TUSB320) and connecting the USB-C connector on the TUSB320 to a power bank (capable of sourcing 5V/3A).
I have been following the user guide and SW1 is in DRP mode. I get D10 to light up on both cases and D4 light up on source mode. However I suspect that D7 (sinking) and D11 (sourcing) might be the problem due to their very low current rating. I measured the voltage across the D7 when sinking and it reached 400mV. Could you confirm that this is the case? If so, why are there so low current capable diodes on the EVM if it should be possible to source up to 3A?
Thanks for your support
