I'm planning to design a unmanaged(which means without MCU) media converter which supports 100base-T1 to 100base-Tx and vice versa.
With my understanding, there can be some limited feature in unmanaged mode
but all functions which I need are
- master/slave setting
- Auto-nego enable/disable
Is it possible to design unmanaged media-converter by only two PHY's connected each other with MII connection?
