LMH0056: LMH0056 application

Hello,

The LMH0056 includes one 4:1 MUX which is used for switch SDI signal, do we have any other 2:1 switches which could switch one SDI, one AV signal? or how to realize AV to SDI conversion? If AV could convert SDI, and then we could use LMH0056 for 2:1 SDI switch application. Do you have any other suggestions?

Could you please confirm by AV you mean Analog Video ? Also, you want to convert analog video to SDI? Once this is converted, what is the next step? Please clarify. I just need to fully understand this application.

Hi Kailyn,

SDI parts use NRZ electrical interface, Incoming data is either one or zero. Our SDI portfolio mainly have NRZ interface and do not have analog video interface. Normally, customers may use FPGAs to interface to AV video. Also, FPGAs have IP to support SDI as well. So we need FPGA plus its IP to support both analog video and SDI video framing as well.
