We are using DP83869HM in our design with the Mode Configured as SGMII-to-Copper.
We are facing an issue on the Ethernet PHY that Auto Mode, 1000 Mbps, and 100 Mbps are not working(Link itself not established). Only 100 Mbps on both the duplex has been working fine.
Design:
- We have taken 6 identical boards in our design.
- Each board will have 10xEthernet PHY's.
Observation:
- All the 5 identical boards are been working fine on all the 10xEthernet PHY's on all the speeds(Auto/1000/100/10 Mbps) and duplexes(Full/Half).
- In one board(6th board) only on 1 Ethernet PHY that, only 100 Mbps on full/half-duplex is working as expected. But Auto Mode, 1000 Mbps on full-duplex and 10 Mbps on full/half-duplex are not working. Remaining 9xEthernet PHY works well on all the speeds(1000/100/10 Mbps) and duplexes(Full/Half).
- We have also conducted the BIST(Built-in Self test) on the Working and the Non-working PHY on the 10/10 Mbps speeds.
- The working PHY has passed both the 10/100 Mbps on both the duplex.
- But the non-working PHY is passing only on the 100 Mbps on both the duplex and on 10 Mbps both the duplex it has been failing.
We would like to know, what may be the cause of the issue.
Note: Advertising has been enabled at the respective speeds.
