Hi team,

Can you answer some questions for TPS25830QWRHBRQ1?

1. Does it support Apple carplay?

2. As one of Apple MFi certification, does it support OCP spec?

FYI - OCP spec has been created this year and it should support 1ms for the output which exceeds 60%.

(Ex, for 5V/3A charges, it should be okay for 5V/4.8A for 1ms.)

Hi,

Yes, it can support apple carplay.

The TPS25830 can sustain the 4.8A for 1mS load transient and it can pass the MFI OCP spec.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your answer. Can I ask one more question?

Is it possible to control the output current as per temperature condition?

(Ex: when the temp reaches to 85C, can the output be controlled from 3A to 1.5A?)

The TPS25830-Q1 can't do that feature but TPS25831-Q1 can as the TPS25831-Q1 have the NTC pin .

We can use the NTC pin to do external current limit .
