DS90UH941AS-Q1: PATGEN with script internal clock muliplier

Part Number: DS90UH941AS-Q1

Hi Team,

If I am using the pat gen feature of the 941AS, I noticed that indirect address 3 provides control over the "N" divider of the 200MHz internal clock:

However, If I wanted a PCLK of 150MHz, is there a way to incorporate the "M" multiplier so that I can get close to 150MHz?

Is it possible to use the clock at 200MHz? The description says that I cannot divide by 1, so is the highest clock frequency I can get 100MHz if my divider N is 2?

Thank you,

Jared

  • Hey Jared,

    Please read through the rest of this app note. There are several places where we make mention of the 941AS having an optional 800MHz oscillator which can be used. For a target frequency of 150MHz you can get pretty close by using:

    M = 2

    N = 11 or 10

    OSC = 800(2/11) = 145MHz

    OSC = 800*(2/10) = 160MHz

    Please note of course that these values are approximate as the internal oscillator is not designed to be highly accurate.

    Best Regards,

    Casey
