What are possible faults I would see if the PCI LOCK pin on the XIO2001 is left floating instead of pulled high? Would cause the device on the PCI side of the bridge not to be recognized?

Hello -
The XIO2001 LOCK pin requires a pull-up resistor per PCI spec. If left floating, it may be toggled due to system noise. If the LOCK pin is uncontrollably toggled, it may cause protocol errors and system failures.

Hello,
It may still cause protocol errors and system failures. An approved PCI bus pullup resistor to VCCP is required to keep the LOCK signal from floating, even if it is not connected to devices on the bus.
