Some question about the CEC

1. What will DS90UH949 do when receiving CEC command from HDMI connector ? (we got some question like will DS90UH949-Q1 decode the CEC command ? How will DS90UH949-Q1 react to CEC command ? )

2. How to implement CEC function using DS90UH949-Q1 ?

2. Can we at the DS90UH940 side control / Access DS90UH949 CEC either to get the CEC command result or send CEC command ?

Hi PYTsai,

On a high level,

UH949 will store the received CEC commands in our 949 APB registers. It is possible to access UH949 stored CEC commands from UH940 or the SoC through FPD-Link control channel.

For your customers who are interested in implementing CEC, are they doing an automotive application or industrial application?

Hi PYTsai,

We don't have more information on CEC at the moment. Typical automotive application doesn't use CEC for any control since 949'S HDMI interface is directly connected to a SOC.

In your case, is the 949 planned to be connected to external source such as DVD players?
