Hi,
We are having a TLK100PHP device interfaced to our FPGA over MII interface. At the time of power-up, as we understand, in order to start an MII interface, FPGA is required to configure the TLK device registers through SMI interface.
The datasheet says "In MII mode, CLK25OUT pin provides a 25 MHz clock output to the system. This allows other devices to use the reference clock from the TLK100 without requiring additional clock sources."
On power-up, will we be having 25MHz clock outputted from the TLK100 device, using which we can clock our on-board FPGA? Or is it that 25MHz clock shall be available from CLK25OUT pin, only after the TLK100 device registers are configured?
Note: We have an dedicated 25MHz crystal sourcing clock only to TLK device.
Thanks and Regards,
Vinay
