DS90UB954-Q1: CSI caribration

Part Number: DS90UB954-Q1

Hi team,

I can't understand when I need CSI caribration.

Does this calibration mean that the 954 has the ability to send a 01 data pattern for the CSI receiver to calibrate?

If user want to calibrate only at startup, set 0x34 [1] to Enable, and if user want to calibrate every frame, enable 0x34 [0].

Is this usage correct?

Best regards,

Tomoaki Yoshida

  • Hello Tomoaki,

Usually CSI-2 skew calibration is only required when operating at speeds > 1.5Gbps. When you enable skew cal in the 954, it directs the device to output the MIPI DPHY standard skew calibration sequence which the sink should recognize and use to automatically calibrate skew. It can be configured to only send this sequence on startup or periodically throughout transmission as required.

    Best Regards,

    Casey
