TUSB8044A: Necessity to input external clock signal

Hi team,

The device has XI, XO pin and it can be applied cexternal clock signal.

Is that necessary to input external clock signal?

If the external clock signal is not used, is there any internal clock signal?

Hello Saito-san

Yes, either an external oscillator needs to be attached to XI or a crystal needs to be connected between XO and XI for the device to function.

Is there any reference schematic for using oscillator as a clock input?

The datasheet only shows the schematic with crystal.

Just connect the oscillator to the XI pin. It must be a 1.8V clock signal. We can review the schematic if needed.
