TCA9517-Q1: Power off behaviour

Part Number: TCA9517-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCA9517

Hello Team,

In my design VCCA will be power off faster than VCCB, and as per datasheet during power off stage all pins goes into high impedance state.

So is there any effect of this VCCA disappear faster than VCCB ?

Thank you.

Best Regards,

Vaibhav Waman

  • Hey Vaibhav,,

The TCA9517 should go into a high impedance mode when VccA drops below ~0.8V. While VccA is dropping, the ViL should also track so during the power off sequence, I wouldn't expect A side to try to drive B side low if the A side I2C line is idle.

From what I can see, you should be fine.

    Thanks,
